Guidelines
Community Guidelines
Effective 26 October 2026
GTAVI.RIP is for laughing at spectacular fictional deaths. Roast the decision, not the person. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service.
What belongs here
- Funny, fictional deaths and fails from gameplay, with a deadpan report to go with them.
- Predictions of how you'll go out, clearly fictional.
- Honest titles and descriptions that match what happens in the clip.
What isn't allowed
Real harm
- Footage of real people being hurt, killed or put in danger, real accidents, real crimes or real violence of any kind.
- Anything that glorifies or encourages real-world violence, self-harm, terrorism or dangerous challenges.
People
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or pile-ons against anyone, including other creators.
- Hate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
- Personal information: real names, addresses, phone numbers, faces of bystanders, gamer tags of people who didn't agree, or anything that identifies a private person.
- Impersonating other people, creators, staff, Rockstar Games or any company.
Content
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content, and anything involving minors in a sexual way. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Graphic real-life gore, shock content, or content that is illegal where you or we are.
- Footage you didn't record and don't have permission to publish, re-uploads of other people's clips, or watermarked content from other channels.
- Leaks, cheats, exploits that harm other players, piracy or modded content presented as normal gameplay.
- Fake or misleading claims about the game, its release, or official status.
Spam and manipulation
- Spam, ads, links to other sites, keyword-stuffed titles, or the same clip posted again and again.
- Vote manipulation: multiple accounts, vote trading, bots, or asking for votes in exchange for anything.
Spoilers and surprises
If the cause of death is the punchline, choose “Keep it a surprise” so the card hides it until people watch. Don't put story spoilers for the game in titles.
How moderation works
- Every clip is reviewed by a person before it appears publicly.
- If we reject or remove something, you get the reason and can edit and resubmit, or appeal.
- Serious or repeated violations can lead to account suspension.
- Reports are reviewed on their merits; the number of reports alone never removes anything.
